Podiatrist Dean Kim, DPM
Dr. Dean Kim, DPM, FACFAS, ABPM is a distinguished and experienced board-certified podiatrist serving the Frisco - Plano - McKinney area, and the founder of Greater Texas Foot & Ankle Specialist.
Dr. Kim grew up in Flower Mound, TX. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then attended medical school at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he obtained his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Kim’s postgraduate studies included an extensive three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Kingwood Medical Center under the guidance and expertise of renowned foot and ankle surgeons. He also served as the chief resident his third year.
He is passionate about caring for his patients and his approach is to work with each patient to determine a plan of action for healing and the elimination of foot pain and problems.
Dr. Kim has advanced training in minimally invasive surgery-which is highly effective in treating small hammertoes, Morton’s neuroma, bunions and more. He also enjoys treating foot & ankle fractures, sports medicine, heel pain, ingrown toenails, pediatric foot deformities, and performs reconstructive flatfoot surgery.
